1. How have you seen Al-Ghazi’s culture evolve over the years?
When I joined Al-Ghazi, I saw a values-driven organization with great potential and clear opportunities to enhance its workplace culture. Over the years, we’ve collectively shaped a more collaborative, engaging, and employee-centric environment. Initiatives like the Sports Festival, Value Awards, Gold Pin Awards, regular town halls, and open communication channels have built a culture of recognition and inclusion. At the factory, the Workers’ Welfare Program, Independence Day celebrations, and Nashist-e-Khaas sessions have further strengthened employee engagement. These efforts have helped shift Al-Ghazi from a traditional corporate setup to a dynamic space where people feel heard, appreciated, and empowered. As we move forward, we’re placing greater focus on learning and development to continue nurturing our most valuable asset—our people.
2. In your view, how can employees play an active role in building and sustaining a positive workplace environment?
A positive workplace isn’t built by leadership alone—it’s something every employee helps shape. By embracing open communication, sharing feedback in town halls, and recognizing one another, employees play a vital role in creating a supportive culture. Living our core values—Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence—goes a long way in daily interactions. Participating in engagement activities like sports festivals, wellness programs, and celebrations also strengthens our sense of community. Most importantly, leading by example and working with a collaborative mindset helps build trust and inclusivity. When we all take ownership, culture becomes something we live, not just talk about. It’s that shared effort and energy that truly sustains a positive, thriving workplace at Al-Ghazi.
3. What was your first impression of Al-Ghazi’s culture when you joined, and how has it changed since then?
My first impression of AGTL was of a disciplined yet somewhat unstructured organization with immense potential. I saw a clear opportunity to build a strong, winning team by improving employee engagement and cross-functional collaboration. As I always say, “If we want to win in the marketplace, we first need to win in the workplace.” We started working on this principle together—and while the journey is ongoing, we’ve achieved some important milestones.
Today, I’m proud of the cultural shift we’ve made—towards open communication, recognition, well-being, and celebration. With regular town halls, engagement initiatives, and wellness programs, employees now have more platforms to voice their opinions, showcase their talents, and connect with leadership—making AGTL a more vibrant, people-focused workplace.
4. What steps is Al-Ghazi taking to encourage collaboration and ownership across teams?
At AGTL, I believe collaboration and ownership are key drivers of success. To nurture these values, we’re taking several steps. Frequent town halls and open communication channels are giving employees direct access to leadership to share challenges and ideas. Alongside Value and Gold Pin Awards, we’re reviving “Employee of the Month” and “Employee of the Quarter” to celebrate ownership and contribution. Initiatives like sports festivals, Nashist-e-Khaas, and festive celebrations help break silos and build teamwork. At the factory level, Workers’ Welfare Programs are enhancing well-being through health, safety, and support initiatives. Together, these efforts aim to build a culture where employees feel empowered to take initiative, support one another, and work collaboratively toward shared goals.
5. What is your vision for Al-Ghazi’s culture moving forward, and how can employees help bring that vision to life?
My vision for AGTL’s culture is to create an engaging, inclusive, and innovation-driven workplace—where employees feel valued, inspired, and empowered to contribute beyond their roles. To bring this vision to life, employees can actively participate in initiatives, wellness programs, and celebrations, helping build a sense of community. I always encourage openness—share ideas, give constructive feedback, and collaborate across teams. By living AGTL’s core values—integrity, ownership, respect, and recognition—we can foster a culture where people support one another and take pride in their work.
Together, we can transform AGTL into not just a great place to work, but a vibrant, purpose-led organization where every individual has the opportunity to grow, lead, and thrive.
