Al-Ghazi Tractors Joins the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition as Patron

Share

One of Pakistan’s leading tractor manufacturers steps into a national coalition shaping the future of farming, mechanisation, and rural prosperity.

Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) has formally joined the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition (PAC) as a patron, signing a Memorandum of Understanding on 17 June 2026. The partnership brings AGTL into a coalition of the country’s foremost business and financial groups working to make Pakistan’s agriculture sector private sector-led, technology-driven, entrepreneurial, and globally competitive.

A Coalition Built for Pakistan’s Agricultural Future

PAC was founded by 20 of Pakistan’s leading business and financial groups as a Section 42 not-for-profit organisation, with a clear mandate to design commercially scalable business models and provide policy and strategy guidance for the sector. Its vision centres on building an agriculture economy that delivers higher profitability for farmers while remaining globally competitive. By joining PAC, AGTL aligns itself with a structured, long-term national effort, working alongside leaders from business, finance, farming, government, and development organisations.

Bringing Four Decades of Farming Experience to the Table

For more than 40 years, AGTL has been a familiar name in Pakistan’s fields, manufacturing tractors at its Dera Ghazi Khan facility and building one of the deepest dealer and farmer networks in the country. That on-ground presence (spanning generations of growers, mechanics, and dealers) gives AGTL a unique vantage point on what farmers actually need. Through PAC, the company will channel that experience into national-level conversations on agricultural mechanisation, productivity, and rural development.

Strengthening the Private Sector’s Role in Agriculture

Agriculture remains the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and a primary source of livelihood for millions. Yet unlocking its full potential requires sustained collaboration between the private sector, government, and the wider development community. AGTL’s patronage of PAC reinforces a growing recognition that scaling solutions in farming, from mechanisation to market access, depends on private sector commitment paired with sound policy direction. The partnership is designed to support exactly that kind of joined-up effort.

Looking Ahead

As Pakistan works toward stronger food security, modernised farming, and a more competitive agricultural economy, partnerships like this one signal where the sector is heading. By stepping in as a PAC patron, AGTL is not only reaffirming its long-standing commitment to Pakistan’s farmers, it is helping shape the institutions and conversations that will define the next chapter of the country’s agriculture story.
